In February of 2022, CORE Hub submitted public comment on the BOEM Draft Environment Assessment for the Humboldt Wind Energy Area. The Draft Environmental Assessment was put forth by BOEM to determine whether the issuance of a lease within the Humboldt Wind Energy Area (WEA) would lead to reasonably foreseeable significant impacts on the environment and, thus, whether an environmental impact statement should be prepared prior to issuing a renewable energy lease.
